The wanna feed: a tennis post by Elin with one spot left, then padel and running posted by people nearby, with filters for all, nearby, online and friends.
Choosing an activity when posting: tennis, padel, running, bouldering, board games and Rocket League, with a search field.

Post it

Pick an activity, say when, and how many people you want. A few taps, no form.

A single wanna for tennis with the time, who posted it, and an "I'm in" button.

Get matched

The people who could actually join it see it, and say they're in.

A match chat between two people arranging where to meet for tennis.

Meet up

Everyone coming gets a chat and the details in one place.

Matching

Matching follows the activity

Tennis needs someone near you. An online game does not.

wanna knows the difference, so a physical activity matches on distance and an online one matches on who you choose — friends only, or anyone. You never configure this. The activity decides.

Match details showing who is coming, an option to send the plans to someone, and advice for meeting someone for the first time.

Groups

Organise around the people you already play with

A padel club, a board-game night, the people you run with on Thursdays.

Post a wanna to a group, to your friends, or to everyone who might want to come. A group is a roster, not a feed you have to keep up with.

Safety

Built for 13 and up, and built apart

wanna is open from the age of 13, and the two age groups never meet. This is the part we would want to read first as a parent.

  • Separated by age Under-18s are matched, befriended and chatted to only by other under-18s. It is enforced in the database, not only in the app.
  • Parent-approved from 13 to 15 A parent or guardian approves the account before it works, and can withdraw that approval at any time.
  • Location only when you act Your position is recorded when you post, join or accept — never in the background. Others see a distance band, not where you are.
Date of birth entry during sign-up, confirming the age and that this account will be matched with other adults.
Your date of birth decides which group you are matched with.
Location permission screen explaining that location is used when you post or join, and that others see only an approximate distance.
Others see a rough band — never a map, a pin, or an address.

What it costs

wanna is free. It carries no advertising and no advertising SDKs, for anyone — and nobody is profiled for advertising, least of all the under-18s.

How your data is handled, how long it is kept, and how to delete your account are set out in the privacy policy below.
